As a journalist I have written for national newspapers and a variety of specialist and leisure magazines, and I have have experience of copywriting for charities and commercial businesses. I have extensive experience of writing for websites, producing annual reports and press releases. If you would like me to undertake some writing work for your organisation, the most important issues for us to clarify at the outset are the key messages, intended audience and the tone that you want to use. I can write up pieces from drafts that you provide, or alternatively I can research and develop material from an initial brief. I can also provide regular blog articles for your website based on material that you provide.
I can manage and write bids for individual organisations or consortia. In the current climate fundraising resources are stretched, and yet potentially exciting funding opportunities can arise just at the moment when staff time is already fully allocated. In these situations I can offer a cost effective solution, ensuring that your organisation doesn’t miss out on valuable funding possibilities.
I have extensive experience of developing and implementing a range of projects, ranging from service delivery to communications and membership issues.
Issues arise in all organisations from time to time – sometimes these relate to the organisation as a whole, or it may be that the focus is on a particular team or function. Usually these can be addressed internally but sometimes it is useful to get an outsider’s view, and this is where I can help by undertaking a review – perhaps because a fresh perspective is required or where it is important that any analysis is clearly seen to be impartial.
